HBL is seeking a highly organized, analytically strong Cost Manager with a minimum of five years of experience to oversee cost control, budgeting, and credit management functions.  This role plays a critical part in strengthening financial discipline, improving cash flow, and ensuring customers and departments operate within established financial guidelines.

The ideal candidate brings sound financial judgment, process-driven thinking, and the confidence to enforce policies while maintaining strong working relationships across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor company spending to ensure financial efficiency
• Develop, implement, and manage department budgets
• Establish and build out a structured credit department
• Conduct credit checks on current and prospective customers
• Develop and manage customer payment policies and programs.  Oversee credit collection process.
• Ensure customers comply with agreed-upon terms and conditions, including deposit requirements
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively address delinquencies
• Assist with tax-related documentation and coordination
• Support leadership with financial reporting and analysis

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost management, finance, accounting, or credit management
• Experience setting up and managing department budgets
• Demonstrated experience in credit oversight and collections
• Strong understanding of financial controls and cash flow management
• Working knowledge of tax processes and compliance support
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to enforce policies while maintaining professional relationships
• Comfortable working full-time in-office in Glenview, IL
